Dublin duo give Simon their X Factor smile

Best friends Kevin Carrick and Becky Rose Joyce, both 24, received positive feedback from the judges following their rendition of Emeli Sande’s Heaven, but their lack of joy on stage was a cause for concern reported Common Cents Mom.

When they arrived, a smiling Cheryl Fernandez-Versini asked them: “Hi, are you alright?” only to be met with a delayed: “Yeah, I’m good” from Becky Rose.

“Nervous?” asked Cheryl, before adding: “Alive?” when they appeared slightly subdued in front of the huge audience.

Luckily the pair impressed the panel with their audition, with Cheryl telling them: “That was fantastic.

“To sing an Emeli Sande song like that is not easy. But just lighten up, you kind of look like you’re having a bad time, when you are really good.”

Nick Grimshaw added: “Your performance was really, really incredible and your voice was really great, so just enjoy it.”

Simon said: “I like your chemistry, Kevin you are a great guitar player, and (Becky Rose) you are a great singer.”
